A few words about getting the most out of Destinations Travel Magazine

We have upgraded Destinations to an exciting new platform that enables embedded video, audio, photo slideshows and beautiful, fun, special effects. Don’t miss any of the fun features. When reading the magazine online – either on your computer or laptop – it is best viewed via the Google ‘Chrome’ browser. We found it to be the fastest. Because all the new magazine’s features are ‘flash-supported,’ be sure your browser is ‘flash-enabled ’ You may need to install the free Adobe flash player (http://get2.adobe.com/flashplayer/) or Java (http://www.java.com/en/)

Destinations Travel Magazine on Mobile Devices

Destinations Travel Magazine can also be read on your mobile devices, including Droid, Samsung, iPhone, iPad, and others. With the exception of Apple products, most mobile devices support ‘flash’ and all the special effects inside each gorgeous issue. For Apple device users, a flash-enabled browser is necessary.We found ‘Photon to be the best, so far.You can download it on iTunes.

Using All The Magazine Features

You will notice a variety of icons at the bottom of your screen while reading the magazine. These icons allow you to view the table of contents, ‘bookmark’ or add notes to pages, pop up thumb nails of all the pages for a quick view, use a ‘quick-share’ link, print pages, turn the page-flipping sound on and off, look at the magazine in ‘full-screen’ mode or zoom in on a page for a closer look. On the bottom right of the screen, there are several options for turning the pages, including an ‘auto-turn’ feature.

Use the ‘Word Search’ feature in the upper right corner of the screen to search for destinations, or specifics like ‘beaches,’ ‘islands,’ etc. Also notice the ‘Subscribe’ button in the upper right. Subscribers are on our VIP list; they are the first to receive copies ( via link) of each new issue of the magazine! Subscribers are NOT added to any mass mailing list nor are their email addresses used for any other purpose…or shared. So be THE FIRST to see each new exciting issue! Subscribe!

February Issue is Hot Off the Press!

We have plenty for everyone to LOVE in the February issue of Destinations Travel Magazine! And we have more surprises for our readers in the pages of this issue, too... more fun ‘Flash’ effects, slide shows and videos to enjoy! Unlike some of our competition, that claims to be online magazines, Destinations Travel Magazine is a fully interactive, page-turning, online publication. It is professionally designed and laid out by the same creative people responsible for the design and lay out of our former print publications.

So what's new?

The Look

The Magazine now has a more modern, more open, more dynamic, attractive user interface with responsive mouse-over buttons.

Its functions include: Search, Word Search, Bookmarking, Easy Social Network Sharing, Printing, Thumb Nail Overview, Zoom-In, Zoom-Out, Fullscreen Viewing, Page-Jump to specific pages, and it can even be set to Auto-Turn pages.

Flash Effects and Embedded Video Too!

And now, there is embedded video, slideshows, and beautiful flash animation and flash effects right on its photo-rich pages! This provides a richer reader experience and is providing our advertisers new and exciting ways to reach out to their customers!

Some of our competition is tip-toeing into online publishing - calling it "a brave new world." But, it's not NEW for us. Destinations Travel Magazine pioneered the online magazine, several years ago - as our competition scoffed. We saw the handwriting on the wall, and jumped in 'ahead of the pack.'
